6/29/16 One at the nest shading at least one chick. Temp near 100 degrees.
6/12/16 One adult moving around the nest, changing positions often. Another flew into the nest, without prey, and remained for 5 minutes before flying off. During this period, i was able to observe one downy chick moving within the nest.

On April 11, one bird was at the nest.
On April 13, two birds were at the nest. One flew off then returned with moss. The second returned right after and the pair copulated on the nest rim.
05/10/15 One low in nest, possibly incubating eggs. Weather warm.
04/19/15 One bird was perched 75 feet away from the nest, keeping watch on it but no bird was obaeved in the nest. The perched bird left for a short flight, and returned as another joined him at the nest, where they proceeded to copulat on the nest. The nest remained intact over the winter.

07/22/14 This nest was reported to me by a birder friend that lives nearby. This is my first visit to the nest, which appears to be a first-year nest. This morning I observed two chicks approx 6 weeks old, and two adults at the nest.
