There was an Osprey on the tree today, but a pair of Bald Eagle pair has started a nest nearby so I doubt the Ospreys will nest here this year

This is a "practice" nest at this point but may be active next spring. A pair of Ospreys have tried unsuccessfully to nest in the area for the last two years after it's successful nest the year before on a platform that had to be taken down
