Nesting Diaries

they finally gave up. two Ospreys on a dead tree that had an unsuccessful nest a coupe of years ago. No new nest started

The pair has started another nest on the adjacent light pole. Unfortunately it too is doomed

The nest came down in a wind storm as feared. The pair has been trying to build on this light pole for two years now with the same results. This morning they were perched on a nearby cell phone tower being harassed by fish crows as usual. This would be a much more stable platform for a nest. They have a few sticks on this new location, so we'll see

The nest is a little more advanced. so far so good. It has survived it's first storm

This nest kept sliding off the pole last year but so far it is staying up. It is much more advanced already than last year's nest, so maybe it will hold this year
