Nesting Diaries
No individuals present on nest. 5 osprey flying together over the bay just east of the nest.
Two adults observed on nest.
Both adults present on nest, one sat and one stood.
Adult sat on nest, possibly male. Could hear calling from nearby.
Two adults observed one sat on nest and the other sat on perch located next to the nesting platform.
One adult sitting on nest, facing away so unable to determine gender. Calling heard nearby.

One adult sat on perch next to nest, distant calling can be heard, not certain if associated with this nest however.

Two adults observed standing on nesting platform on either side of nest. Possible movement in nest, could be chicks or wind blowing nesting material.
2 adults observed standing on nest, one on nest and one on platform. There may have been a little head poking out, possible chick. Adults were calling.
Two adults observed standing on nest. Male took off then did a loop and came back and landed on the nest again.

Two adults observed. Male sat on perch next to nesting platform, female laying in the nest with head peeking over.
Two adults observed, one male and one female. Both on nest. The female was observed laying in the nest with a flat back, incubating. Male observed sitting on the nesting platform perch.
Female perched on nest, male sitting on perch near nest. Female then flew off. Male remained.

No individuals are noted or observed in the vicinity of this nest.
One adult individual is present though its sex can not be identified at the time of observation. Two chicks are present in the nest as well. One chick is beating its wings and flapping into the wind, without taking off.
Upon approach, there are no individuals present in the nesting area. Upon closer inspection nearby individual, sex unknown, flies toward the nest, and perches on perch pole. No active nesting behaviors were observed.
Male is present in the nest. Female returned with a large fish. Male stretched and returned to sit on nest.
Female is in the nest, male is on the roost. Incubation is suspected
Male on roost, female present in nest. Some head movement is noted among the two.
Male and female present on nesting platform
No individuals present. Strong breeze may have affected presence around nesting areas.
No individuals are in the nets. Nest material amount remains constant. Two individuals are noted soaring very high up in the sky.
Marked boat traffic in the area may have an effect on presence of individuals in vicinity of the nest. There is no noted increase of nesting material
Nesting material has increased again, but not dramatically. There is one particularly large piece of plastic that is hanging off the front of the nest, which worries the observer.
The amount of nesting material has not markedly increased. There are no calling, perched, or soaring individuals in the area.
Marked increase of nesting material. Almost looks as good as other nests in the park. There are at least two trash bags that were brought in as nesting material that are clearly visible from far away. No individuals were observed in the area, however distant calling from the tree line is noted.
More nesting material is being added, and no individuals are present at the start of the observation. After a few minutes two individuals are seen soaring, though not in tandem. One flies over the bay to the left of the nest while one soars in the area.
Nesting material is in the process of being added to the new nest box. Though sparse, the amount is significantly more than observed previously. Red-winged Black Bird seen perched on the perch pole. No individuals were noted in the surrounding area.
Two individuals crudely seen in the morning area observed during a seining activity. No individuals are seen during the afternoon observation. No sign of perched or soaring individuals in the area.
No nest built in this location. No individuals seen in the immediate area, possibly due to filming interference.
No individuals in the area. There is a lack of nesting material, with little if any present.
This nest collapsed during a storm and we have not seen a pair here since :( We are repairing it soon.
