nest active as it was in 2020, pair incubating
April 4, 2020. Canada Goose is nesting on this osprey platform, again. I believe this is at least the 3rd year for the goose. Papa stays on my nearby dock along the heron who sleeps there.
ERROR: Nest at 110 Vines Lane (my neighbor's) has our osprey pair who have nested in this area since I came here in 2000. (Could be descendant). The pair are still in the nest building phase. She has been here for nearly a month. He was spotted a few weeks after she came.
This nest is wrongly placed on the map with red makers. #6160 is 2 doors to the right of my nest, #6159 - both on Vines Lane in The Point Farm, Dagsboro, DE.
June 1st, 2019, 2 chicks hatched in this nest.

Goose hatached 6 goslings. Nest empty now.
Platform #6160 at 110 Vines Lane had a female goose sitting eggs, having chased off the osprey. The male goose swims around post below nest, and keeps watch. Nancy
I have reported several times that platform #6160 and 6161 re THE SAME NEST. There are NOT 2 nests at 110 Vines Lane on Vines Creek in Dagsboro. 6161 got entered in error. Please remove 6161. Thank you. Nancy
Nest yielded 3 chicks but a bald eagle grasped one & dropped it in the water, while being chased away by parents, and it drowned.
2 chicks testing their wings now.
This nest is the same as #6160 at 110 Vines Creek Road, Dagsboro. Empty now. 2 geese checked it out again the other day.

Goose still incubating eggs on osprey platform!
I have not been observing her date of laying, or incubation initiation. Expect goslings soon.
My second nest, off neighbor's dock at 110 Vines Creek Rd, Dagsboro, has been taken over by a pair of geese. She is incubating eggs now.
