Description
Nest is in Frenchman Canyon approx. one mile below the dam on the east side of the road. It is on a side branch about 15 feet below the top of a 90 foot dead Jeffery Pine, and on the same ridge line as Nest #1069 which blew down this past winter.

This new nest is, I believe, being built by the same pair that had occupied Nest #1069, the first nest I had observed here many years ago, before this survey began. #1069 blew down over the winter. It does not appear to be completed, but one bird was perched on the edge of what nest they had.
