Nesting Diaries

Babies! I have been watching and couldn't see the babies until this evening. I suspected they were in there as the Osprey sits on the edge of the nest, leaves the nest for a short fly and the male is catching a lot of fish each day. Tonight I saw two heads and one opened it's wings. Exciting!

4/1/12- Saw both Osprey chase an Eagle out of the creek, it was a site to see! The Eagle finally gave up after 5 mins of circling and being chased by both Osprey. This was the first time the nest had been empty in over a week.

Both Osprey have worked hard to build up this nest. One Osprey is always in the nest. Saw the male chasing a Great Blue out of the creek last week, the GB was looking for dinner in his territory.
