Found the nest for the first time today. Smaller nest located on top of parking lot light pole, quite low to the ground. Nest seemed very old. No sign of Osprey.
When we first arrived the female was just outside the nest on the end of the light pole. A male sat across from the female on a nearby light post possibly keeping guard. He appeared to have a half eaten fish under one of his talons.
Osprey sat on a nearby light pole observing its surroundings. Although the Osprey is female, she doesn't appear to have a partner.
In the plaza, in front of the Walgreens an Osprey was perched on one of the four light poles right outside of its nest.
Adults arrived January 2013. Incubation began during February 2013. Pair last seen at nest May 2013.
