The nest appears to be about half there. It's in a safe position, snuggled between 2 spotlights

Diane H reports: I biked past the nest this morning. On my first pass through, I spotted just a single adult osprey in the nest, no different than my other visits. I decided to swing by on my return about an hour later, and instead of an adult osprey, I saw three smaller birds in the nest. I've included a video to help you identify if these were young ospreys or just some other birds that happened to visit the nest for some reason. NOTE: Based on the video, it seems that what was seen likely were a couple crows. It was hard to confirm from the distant video, but size, shape, and dark, solid color lead to this conclusion.

Diane H reports: I spotted one osprey in the nest this morning (7/8, around 7:30 a.m.), so I took a couple of photos. (added)

NEW NEST July 2023: Diane H reported: I spotted a nest yesterday on a bike ride in Bluffton. I saw an osprey overhead carrying a small branch and saw it land on top of a set of floodlights at the baseball field at May River High School. You'll see an osprey in one of the photos perched on the adjacent set of flood lights, probably watching out for predators. NOTE: Since this nest was reported so late in the season, we are unable to provide the key dates. We will add what info we can. However, it is all set up for monitoring next osprey season.
