Nesting Diaries

No one was in the nest while I was there, but I could hear and see ospreys flying (although there are other nests in proximity of their nest.)

I was able to observe the nest from my kayak, thanks to an extreme high tide. I saw two ospreys in the nest, and quite a few flying nearby. I can't confirm, but I assume that all three chicks I saw in the nest in July are now fledglings.

Definitely photographed three little heads peaking over the top of the nest.

The pair were likely there before April 8th, but that was the first time I observed them and decided to add their nest to OspreyWatch. Ospreys have nested on that platform for at least three years now.
