Marge I reports: No activity nor can I see any remnants of a nest
Marge I reports: No activity
Marge I reports: Did not even see the remnants of the nest today
Marge I reports that only a remnant of the nest remains at the start of the 2023 season.
Marge I reports: messy nest, no activity. We are calling this nest inactive this season.
Marge I reports: messy nest. No birds
Marge I reports: Still no birds
Marge I reports: No activity
Marge I reports: No birds seen or heard
Marge I reports: Nest intact. No birds seen or heard
Marge I reports: The plot thickens. My friend alerted me that there was a bird in the nest. So I took my scope. It was sitting upright moving head around a lot. Vocalizing like crazy for about 15 minutes. It certainly looked like an adult with yellow eyes and all the regular colors. I stayed for about thirty minutes to see if another showed up . A juvenile would not look like the adult this early.
NOTE: It is too late for mating.incubating this year. One theory is that this is a relatively young adult who just didn't get mating down this year. We hope it is a good sign that this osprey will return next season and successfully find a mate.
Based on lack of any activity, this nest has been marked inactive for the season.
Marge I reports: No birds seen or heard
Marge I reports: only bird near the nest was a red tailed hawk
Marge I reports: no birds in nest or vicinity
Nest seems to be deteriorating a bit. Kind of a gaping area near the bottom

Marge I reports: Nest. No birds
Marge I reports: Nest still there. No birds yet
Marge I reports: No birds seen or heard.
We have concluded that this nest was not successful and there probably were no eggs laid. This was a new nest in 2020 and it is possible that it was a young pair who did not get things right this year. Maybe nest year!
Dave I reports: Large nest still there but no birds seen or heard.
Marge I reports: Biggest of the nests. No birds seen or heard
Marge and Dave I report: One bird in nest. Then it relocated to the edge and sat there
Marge and Dave I report: saw one flying around close to nest but none in the nest.
Marge and Dave I report: I saw this Osprey sitting in a tree near the green of 11 South and took a few pictures. I then heard another call and this one flew off.
This nest was not found until March 29th. While it appears to be an occupied nest, we can not provide details on the arrival date of the pair.
