Nesting Diaries

07/04/2023 by francie
There may or may not be more chicks. They've been staying hunkered down and we've only caught one popping up every so often. Could be the same one or different ones popping up.

05/21/2023 by francie
Still incubating

04/16/2023 by francie
This nest had to totally be rebuilt. They built it pretty quickly, too!

07/07/2022 by francie
Two chicks were observed the last few visits.

06/06/2022 by francie
One chick can be seen now.

04/15/2022 by francie
Definitely appears to be incubation going on.

04/09/2022 by francie
We have seen activity at this nest.

03/25/2022 by francie
There has been one osprey in the nest for a few days. We have not seen both at the same time though.

08/11/2021 by francie
We have seen 2 hanging around near the nest in recent days, but not IN the nest.

08/06/2021 by francie
All chicks have fledged. No signs of any osprey today. I'm so happy that this nest was a success!!

07/26/2021 by francie
We were surprised to see that there are, indeed, 3 chicks at this nest!! Even though they tried to hunker down when we visited, those eyes gave them away!! Yay!!

07/18/2021 by francie
We saw one head, recently, so still not sure if there is more than one chick.

06/25/2021 by francie
There is at least one chick here. One time that we passed by, we both saw what could've been 3 chick heads popping up. We'll have to wait and see.

06/06/2021 by francie
Protection pose was seen on this hot, humid day!!

05/28/2021 by francie
One osprey was sitting up on the nest here today.

05/22/2021 by francie
Observed, but not much change.

05/01/2021 by francie
White head was just barely visible the last couple of times we passed this nest, so we're assuming there are eggs.

04/22/2021 by francie
We've seen this pair pretty regularly, but no incubation as yet.

04/10/2021 by francie
Both osprey were at the nest today. Looking really good.

04/08/2021 by francie
Nest rebuilding continues and is looking good.

04/05/2021 by francie
We have finally seen the pair sitting on the utility pole together and some twigs nearby.

05/31/2020 by francie
This nest evidently was blown down during one of our wind storms in the late Spring.
