Nesting Diaries
Photo of osprey bringing a fish to his mate. :-)
I took a photo on July 4th that shows possibly two chicks. Yesterday I only saw one chick and one parent return to the nest, but the chick was definitely flying!
Spotted one chick in the nest.
One parent was partially in the nest (head first.) But no real proof of babies yet.
I observing one osprey sitting in the nest while I was visiting.
Both birds were working on the nest and making progress!
Saw one bird at the nest site today. But the nest was completely blown away over the winter so they'll have to start from scratch.
Any signs of incubation yet?
Great photo. I can't seem to get a good one but I did upgrade my binoculars.😄
FYI the nest location on the map was adjusted slightly to match its actual location on Google Maps.
Pair both on the nest pic # 4277(2) - 4:08 pm
I witnessed this pair getting frisky. Their nest seems stable. They are about 50 feet away from nest wings 3, and there was another bird hassling them. I think it was the male who chased him away.
The nest is really being built. It was a great big one last year. It got totally destroyed by the late summer hurricane. I am so thrilled to see the bird working so hard to create a new one.
Saw one there today 03/27 - no nest

The nest was destroyed in the tropical storm.😫the chicks were killed. The adults still at the pole. Makes me very sad.
This pair is still found great😊
This pair is doing well. A bird on the nest at all times😊
They are doing great, two of them today one one the nest and one on the pole.
This nest is big and strong, high sided. I've been going everyday for a week, no sign of the birds. Today I walked to the pole. She flew out at me hovering at my head. Now I know they are sitting on eggs🤗
My pair are out and about.
This pair have good access to the herring run. I see another nest about 1/4mile from this one with bird. It keeps comming around my nest. Trying to steal the girl away?😊
Nest was empty but these two joined 4 other osprey at the Agawam Herring Run.
I don't think there are eggs yet. The female was sitting on the pole. Happy for some suneshine😊
I saw bigger males at the Wareham Ma. Herring run.
One bird on the edge of the nest today at 12:00pm. It doesn't look like sitting on eggs.🤗
On this day of heavy overnight rain, I checked the nest at about 4:00pm. It looked like just the female on the nest. I looked all along the river for osprey fishing but spotted none.
The pair seem very relaxed. The male is much bigger than the female.3-27-2020
The pair seem very relaxed. The male is much bigger than the female.
I see three adults .They seem to be squabbling over the nest. It is a sturdy nest.
I saw a pair in the nest on 03/21
This nest is intact after the winter months. It looks quite sturdy. Eagerly awaiting the arrival of the osprey.
AUGUST 28, 2022: It appeared that the parents had already left, and at least one chick were still there, flying around and landing on the nest. Other chicks were flying nearby, but I'm not sure if they were from the nest further back from the road.
SEPTEMBER 17, 2022: One chick was hanging out with the cormorants at Sandwich Road. I observed him fly back and land alongside his nest. He appeared to be the only osprey left from the two nests.
