Osprey reported at the nest site today
no Ospreys on the nest but several on the towers nearby. A pair making a nest a few towers to the north
Could clearly see three ready to fledge youngsters today
Chicks doing well, getting big
two chicks visible in nest
checked on the nest today and there are two large chicks in the nest almost ready to fledge
One large chick at the nest
Visited the nest yesterday and can see at least one chick, a pretty good size.
female shading baby/babies
Osprey on the nest today. doesn't appear to be incubating yet
Three Ospreys flying around the nest but I didn't observe any actually landing on it
no activity on this nest. It has failed
still don't see any activity at this nest. I'll give it one more try before I give up on it.
No sign of any chicks today. The pair was on the transmission tower to the north and didn't seem upset even when I went directly under the nest. In fact they just flew away. Not a good sign.
female continues to incubate
nest has survived more wind storms; incubating female
despite all the wind the last month, this nest persists and has an incubating female. Today is a very windy day but so far so good
Working on the nest today. It's starting to look like an Osprey nest!
The start of a new nest right where the old one was. High winds (50/60mph) probably knocked some down
An Osprey on the tower today but no new nest started yet
The nest is no longer there. I was told that the electric company removed the nest over winter
When I got there the nest was empty. Soon a single Osprey appeared and I could see it was a fledgling. It landed at the nest long enough for me to take a few pictures and confirm it was a fledgling and then left
This late chick is getting larger. Both parents present today while the chick eats
Single chick getting bigger
Still can only see one chick. this is probably a young pair who are not very attentive. Today the chick was alone in the nest unprotected. While I watched the male brought a fish to the nest and left it. The female was flying around, but didn't come to the nest to feed the chick, which is still small. Not a good sign
Can clearly see one chick in the nest
things look good; the male brought a fish and the female was feeding. Hard to tell how many chicks at this point
A newly hatched offspring was visible for the first time today. Both parents in the nest with it.
female sitting on the nest a little higher than in the past. She may have a newly hatched chick
It appears that male was on the side of the nest and the female is still incubating. this is a late nest for sure.
Incubating Osprey on the nest; a second one nearby
Nest reported by Chris Takacs. The nest is occupied and the pair is eaisly upset. Will investigate soon
