Description
Located in NE corner of North Bay. Nesting plat form installed 15 to 20 years ago. Platform is in poor condition. Bank has eroded to within 1' of base, structure may topple within a year or two. Platform has been productive for at least the past 6 years.

Nesting Diaries

Hurricane Dorian passed through the area early September 2019 and blew the nesting platform of the pole, see attached photo. Early January 2020 volunteers from the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge Society installed a new platform, see attached photo. A nesting pair was first observed March 9, 2020.
