Tree snage is destroyed. New nest near Walker Road.

07/03/2018 by Jeff-Loz
Local resident said this tree-nest was destroyed in a Nor'Easter this winter. Two adult osprey were seen in treetops near this former nest, so there may be a new nest built that cannot be seen. Will need to investigate more.

Initial tree nest was broken but rebuilt in another close-by tree. However, could not observe activity on this nest because of sight limitations.

This tree nest may have broken-up; looks like it is sagging, instead of in a "nest"-like composition. Lots of osprey in the sky above, so they may have built another nest close-by.

Just observed this tree-top nest today. Saw four osprey flying over Roman T. Pond, other than birds observed at nest #6143 and #6163. Knew there must be another nest in the area, then saw this nest. Very difficult to identify nest activity because of height; will check this again soon.
