No nesting site here following tree removal.
Observer Mary Ellen H reports the sad news that the tree was just taken down.
observer Mary Ellen H reports: No activity on Old Fort nest. No birds either
observer Mary Ellen H reports: one osprey near the nest site. A platform has been requested and may be installed by the homeowners association.

observer Mary Ellen H. has checked the nest often during June and concludes that for some reason, the nest has failed. While the adults are sometimes around the nest, there have been no chicks. If the eggs were viable, they would have hatched well before July 2nd.
observer reports: One flew away just as I was approaching. Neighbors have seen two together in area.
observer reports no activity for a week.
observer reports: Mom is on the nest incubating. It is just a guess that incubation may have started about May 1.
OBSERVER REPORTS: Finally for last few days BOTH present and today signs that nest is being fortified.
observer notes: Both osprey are at the nest.
Behavior has been very erratic, to say the least, so I will keep looking.
observer reports: No idea what is happening. Sometimes two sometimes one osprey at best. No sign of nest improvement or nesting.
They is a pair at the nest! The observer has named them Victoria and Albert.

The osprey were not seen for about a week, but appear to be back and nesting may be in progress.
