Two young in nest, looks like they are ready to fly
Adult Osprey in nest, one nestling seen
They seem to be favoring the higher nesting platform, maybe because of losing their young last year in the other nest
Two nesting platforms on Balsam. For the third year, the pair seem to be utilizing both nests. 3/29/29 they were fighting off crows. As we left the area, one Osprey was standing in each nest.
Mom still around, found her sitting on nest, staring out at the bay
found Mom and Dad alive sitting close by, hopefully they will be back next year
Nest attacked by predator, found one nestling on ground dead, mom was not around, dad was on pole chirping, hopefully mom didn't die in the attack.
Saw at least two heads yesterday, mom was feeding them both.
Both Male and female on nest, male brought a fish to female and then returned with stick, seems early for them, but they do seem to be the first ones back every year
Both chicks fledged 7-26-27,posted a photo of one who landed on house under construction by the nest.
Finally saw both babies in the nest with the Mom. Dad flying overhead.
Mom and one baby in the nest. Dad nearby, but no pictures of him. Baby stretching his/her wings..too cute!
Mom and one baby peeking out... Dad flying over
Mom and a baby were in the nest - I saw 2 babies but not at the same time so I can't be sure if it was the same one or not. Dad was nearby eating on a pole
New pictures from today...she was still sitting but wanting to move around. I'm pretty sure she has a few eggs in there.
Both male and female were at the nest, she was in it, and he was on the extended post.
She was sitting in the nest again today...no sign of the male yet...
She has arrived!!!!!
