Ultramar (A)
(44.62, -63.4973)
Osprey Nest Platform
Located on Main Street, Eastern Passage and on the grounds of the Ultramar Distribution facility - an Eastern Canadian gas and home fuel retailer. As this is private property and the nest is a fair distance in from the road, the best way to observe is with binoculars.

Nesting Diaries

Arrived at the site and found the female on the nest and the male perched to the left. Could possibly be 2 chicks; but because of distance from observation point, difficult to say with any certainty. Maybe able to confirm down the road with time and age.

Female incubating. During my observation, found a 2nd nest in close proximity and several osprey flying about. I assume it was this nest's male that landed near an adjacent oil holding tank.

New-to-me nest this season, first observed the male and female at the site.
