Nesting Diaries
After nest was destroyed by human on late winter, pair of osprey came back and successfully rebuild their nest. Since the location of the nest is close to busy road, it is hard to see how many chicks in the nest. As of observed, I saw at least two chicks perched on the site.
Nest destroyed at the end of last year. However, I saw ospreys bring sticks and try to build nest at same location. I hope they are the same pair with new nest.
For past three weeks, I saw both male and female were busy building their nest. Hope to see more activity, soon.
Today I have chance to see mom fed her chicks from below.
Around 18:40, so happy to see one osprey on the nest and two chicks' heads stretch out from the nest. We have at least two chicks in this nest.
Around 18:30 saw one osprey sat in the nest.
At around 10:15 saw one osprey flew off the nest picked up stick and flew back to the nest. I hope he is building rail for the hatchling.............
Around 09:30 saw one osprey perched close to its nest.
So happy to see one osprey flew into the nest around 9:30. This is the first time in awhile that I happened to be at the right place in the right time.
Unable to see any osprey today. Unless one in the nest stand up. Nest is high and many trees at nearby the nest are full of leaves. It is really hard to see if any of osprey perched on the nearby trees.
10:50 saw one osprey perched on the tree close by the nest.
It is hard to see if any osprey was in the nest, unless I see its head from the nest. Most of the nearby trees develop leaves. I am not unable to see if it perches on them. I will report as needed.

At 15:50 saw one osprey perched on the pole by the nest.
Did not see ospreys in the nest today.
Drove by the nest, on osprey perched on the tree close to the nest. Unable to see if other was in the nest.
At 9:47 one osprey perched on the tree that near by the nest. I am not sure if other one is in the nest at this time. The nest is so high up.
This afternoon saw one osprey flew toward the nest with fish in its talons. Later the day, saw them perched around the nest area.
Around 14:00 ish, I drove pass the nest and saw one osprey perched on the tree near by and other on was on the electric pole across the Hwy. Look like it was eating fish.
At 10:18, so happy to see both of ospreys perched on different of the pole. At 10:18, one of the osprey, flew toward and landed on top of another one, they mated. Around 10:20 male flew around the pole, female flew into the nest. Male flew and landed near by tree. So glad that I saw them at the right time. I saw them again at 14:00, female was in the nest, male perched closed by on the pole. As same as of the picture that I posted.
I drove by the nest, saw one osprey perched on the tree that closed to the nest. I made a U-turn and saw another osprey perched on other tree closed by the nest. Then, one osprey flew circling around the nest area. So happy to see both of them around the nest today.
At 12:50 one osprey was in the nest. At 16:30 one osprey was in the nest.
At 19:50 one osprey was in the nest.
At 19:30 one of the osprey sat on the pole by its nest.
Around 19:00, two ospreys were seen from the ground. One was in the nest while other one perched outside the nest watched me taken their pictures.
One osprey was at the nest around 13:25. Two osprey were in the nest around 19:30.
April 2, 2014 one osprey was on the nest around 16:40. I went back around 19:30 no osprey at the nest or nest area.
