June 22, 2017 - Banded two chicks purple 16/D and 17/D
June 15, 2017 - 2 chicks 25-30 days old
On July 8 Osprey banded 87/B was spotted floating in the water near its nest. A kayaker rescued the bird and it was taken to Pearl Beamer. On July 11 Osprey 87/B was released at Little Neck Point and it flew perfectly.
Banded 3 chicks: Right USGS 0928-13960/Left purple 87/B; Right USGS 0928-13961/Left purple 88/B; Right USGS 0928-13910/Left purple 40/B.
Female behavior suggests there are chicks in nest. Adult male seen near nest.
Three eggs as of may 4, 2015
3 eggs (all reddish). Adult female at nest.
Osprey banded 67/B was rescued in the water by Va Beach SPCA and taken to Dr Poutous at Midway Vetson Aug 11. The Osprey died from having swallowed too much salt water.
1 juvenile seen in nest--flew off and returned but could not see bands.
Three chicks about 40 to 45 days of age. Banded by CCB and Virginia Aquarium with purple leg bands 67/B, 68/B, and 69/B.
2 adults seen at nest both unbanded. 3 chicks in nest 5+ weeks old.
Three chicks ~50 days old.
