Nesting Diaries

For the first time I observed the O pair mating on the antennae at the top of the water tower

03/19/2020 by Donna P
Observed a 3rd O trying to visit the nest. A lot of alarm calls were made and contact between the 3rd O and the defender of the nest.

03/17/2020 by Donna P
Observed one of the O pair swoop down and snap a stick off of a pecan tree in parking lot at the water tower.

Adult perched next to nest. Can not determine nest status.

One osprey present. Nest looks disorganized but we had a heavy storm event last night so it might have sustained damage.
