Nesting Diaries

Photos added.

Mary Ellen H reports: Nothing noted this week or last. Will look again on Tuesday am.
Mary Ellen H reports no activity yet.
Mary Ellen H reports: No activity observed for second week. I think the hatchlings have fledged. No Ospreys observed in the immediate area.
NOTE: Based on these last couple reports, we will assume they did fledge.
NOTE: After confirming fledging, we have adjusted the dates we previously listed for incubation and hatching. We were probably a bit late on both of those. Adjusted dates would be incubation about March 30, hatching about April 29th and fledging about 6/15. These are our best estimates based on observations.
Mary Ellen H reports: Not much activity with this nest. I think the Osprey that is visible is a juvenile.

Mary Ellen H reports: no activity seen.
NOTE: By now, these chicks should be big enough to be easily seen. It is possible something happened to them.

There was an osprey in the nest which was peering over the side and chirping. The head was smaller and the chirping was softer than the what I saw and heard originally, so I assume this was a baby. This was exciting!
