This nest is located at the top of a wooden electricity pole to the right of the entrance to the Tampa Research Center. Near where #1170 was located on the light pole last year. Update - it is definitely not the same pair because that pair is back on

I had suspected for a few weeks that the nest had been empty and today that was confirmed when Progress Energy installed a platform and moved the old nest material onto it. I was leaving work as this happened so will post pictures next week

on 2/28/2013 I saw both adults standing up for quite a long time indicating possible hatching? I will check again next week.

still haven't seen a bird in the nest for a few days now, but the nest appears to have gotten bigger again!

02/05/2013 Unable to see any birds in the nest today - maybe she's hunkering down low incubating? (I was absent all last week so unable to observe any activity, sorry)
