(38.8939, -77.0055)
Osprey Nest Platform
Saw this nest a year ago, saw one bird briefly last month but was unable to identify it. Today, 12/8/12 , midday, saw two fully grown Ospreys sitting on either side of the nest. This nest is on a platform on top of a power pole right on busy US 301 at the entrance to the Home Depot parking lot.

I think there's a problem with this nest location. It says it's in a Home Depot parking lot. But the map show it located at the Capitol Police. I went to the nearest Home Depot, and there was no nest. I re-read the description and it says US 301. That highway is nowhere near either the Home Depot nor the location plotted on the map. I didn't check the police station lot, so I don't know if the lat/lon is wrong or the description is for a different nest.

This nest has grown significantly and is now occupied by two birds. On 1/16/13, I took the two photos of one of the birds and will continue monitoring this nest and hope to get both soon.
