Beach Ambassador Debbie Plume got photos of the adults feeding at least one chick (one chick head seen at a time)!

Adults observed intent on something in the nest - chicks we think. The photo and observation is by Plymouth Osprey Watch and BigWingBoy.

Linda F. reports we have a fledgling at Nelson Park! Oh and I changed the number of chicks from three to two. We lost one during the first month.

Osprey, female. This is Lady Hamilton, our Nelson Park female osprey during a quiet moment on a clear summer day. Two chicks are hidden below her in the nest and Lord Neslon is perched in his tree 1/4 mile away. Nelson Park, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA.

My visit to the Nelson Park Osprey nest this morning revealed bird photographer Linda F., Lord Nelson bringing fish, Lady Hamilton feeding the chicks, and I counted two little bobbleheads today.

Yesterday Linda F. reported she thought the Nelson Park Osprey eggs are hatching. I watched the birds this morning. The incubation behavior has definetly switched to feeding chicks behavior. I can't tell how many chicks as we usually can't tell until the little bobbleheads show above the top nest edge. Hooray!

The weekend of April 13-14 the Nelson park pair seem to be sitting on egg(s). There's always one or the other sitting in the nest.
