Nesting Diaries
Male perched on side eating fish, then alternated between feeding two chicks. One chick is bigger than other, but he fed both. Nest looks good.

One osprey was sitting in the nest, possibly incubating, then the other flew up to be in the nest as well. Nest is good. Later, another male flew up to nest (possibly for the female?) and the male chased him off then went back to the nest.

Both male and female osprey perched in nest. One osprey low in the center of the nest, while the other is perched on the outskirts of the nest.

Today I observed a male osprey perched on lighting fixture 2ft below nest platform. No other sign of osprey.
There was one female around the nest
Both adults were at the nest with their nestling!
Both adults are present during observation period. One adult flew away, circled, and landed again. There are known nestlings but they were not observed, perhaps they have fledged.
There are four osprey present in this nest! Both adults are standing on the edge of the nest, alert to their surroundings. The chicklings are both sitting in the center of the nest.
Both a male and female osprey were present in the nest. After five minutes one flew away. A nestling popped out of the nest soon after. The nestling is stretching and attempting to flap its brand new wings. Its wings are incredibly floppy and noodle-like, thin and sparsely covered in down. After about fifteen minutes of observation, a second chick was visible peeping its head out.
There is one adult male osprey sitting on the edge of the nest.
Both the male and female osprey are sitting on the edge of the nest. They appear at ease.
Both male and female osprey were present. One osprey was tending to the center of the nest, appearing to be rearranging materials. The male osprey flew away after fifteen minutes to land and stand watch on a nearby light pole.

There is a female laying very low in the nest. The male osprey was seen landing and dropping something off. There was movement in the nest but it could have just been the female rearranging her nesting materials.
No birds present in the nest. There was a very loud baseball event occurring in a nearby field.

Adults arrived November 2012. Incubation began during December 2013. Chicks first seen in nest 1/20/2013. Pair last seen at nest June 2013.
