A tall pine tree at water's edge of north section of Bayville Golf Club - just south of Shore Drive. Visible across the water from north west area of Pleasure House Point Natural Area
Often seen fishing in the triangle shaped retention pond just north of 17 or at the one next to Grassfield high school. They were in the same location last year as well. Spectacular!
It can be seen by I 64. However, there is no place to stop for me to report clearly that there are any eggs. I saw two ospreys perched at and in the nest at this time. This nest is active right now.
My third year to watch this nest..... 4/18/13 went to check on the nest--immediately saw the osprey fly in and land on the nest! It's very high up and you can't see inside the bowl, but a couple of times 2 smaller birds flew nearby and the osprey chased
Cell phone tower in parking lot of Bayside Christian Church, corner of Shore Drive and Greenwell Roads. Workers removed nest July 26, 2011, but there has been recent activity with 2 adult ospreys gathering sticks and bringing them to the top of the towe
Lawson Rd next to Post Office near Independence Blvd and Thotoughgood Rd. Two cell towers located here. Osprey have built this year on new tower not there last year.
Nest is on top of cell tower near Chestnut Ave. and I664. Today (June 20, 2012), I saw activity in nest, possibly young peregrines, with an adult nearby. This was viewed through binoculars at nearly 1/4 mile away from the 4th story of the Liebherr building. I'll try to take pictures and post them. The adults removed nesting material from our company property for 1-2 months which ended about 1 month ago (a few of us saw them very close to identify). The movement I saw today could have been an adult but it was frequent and spread out which makes me tend to think it my be young ospreys moving about. I'll post updates!
