This nest was located at the top of a very tall apparently dead tree located on the left side of the short cart path between golf holes Hills 4 and Hills 5 (between Fort Howell Drive and Fish Haul Road) on the right just past Caladium. However, the tree and nest were destroyed. Prior to the 2021 nesting season, the community installed a new platform within a few feet of the tree ocation.
This nest is located in what looks like is a dead tree trunk that is covered in vines and weeds. From 278, turn as if entering Indigo Run. At the Indigo Run circle, proceed 3/4 of the way and turn right onto Leg-O-Mutten Road. Part way down on the left, there is a small pull off. Park there and look to the right in that small field. The nest is nearly impossible to spot unless you see the osprey flying in or out of it. However, if you check during the winter, you can easily see the nest since the vines have died. Note: It is nearly opposite where years ago there was a nest in a different dead tree.
It is located off Plantation Drive in Sea Pines next to the 12th tee of the Heron Point Golf Course. The nest is on the left side of the tee box even with the start of the water pond and the start of the golf waste bunker.

2/28/2020 When I first spotted the pair 2 weeks ago I assumed they would begin a rebuild of their badly damaged nest - this has not occurred - I see at least one of the pair still in the neighborhood but I cannot find their new nest if there is one - pretty sad about this - I'm not sure where they are - last time their nest was destroyed they rebuilt across the street - I'll keep searching FOUND THEM!! 3/19 the pair has built a new nest - in St Johns Place approx 1500' from the old nest that was blow down last fall
This nest is easily visible across from 85 Folly Field Road. It is just behind what looks to be an old ball court of some type with a wall.

It's located in the tallest pine tree, next to N Sea Pines Drive, and overlooking the lagoon by the 18th green of the Atlantic Dunes golf course. If you're standing at the back of the 18th green, and next to the lagoon, turn to your left a little and look up. This nest is within a mile of nest 7428 and about the same distance off the beach.
Right before you enter Palmetto Bay Marina, there is an apartment complex on the left called Palmetto Bay Marina Village. It is before you get to Sunrise Cafe. Enter the property and you will pass two lagoons; one on the left and one on the right. After you pass the two lagoons, take a left and you will come to a dead-end, where there is a tennis court. I have never seen anyone use this court. Also, no apartments around to bother people. It is on the other side of the tennis court but you can best see from the parking area.

Osprey nest is on CSA maintenance pole off Lawton Canal Road, right after turn into back entrance to Sea Pines Forest Preserve.
The best way to see the nest (on the skinny pole, not the water tower) is to go in the back gate, entering Forest Preserve on Lawton and park at first right hand turn under the tree before you get to the little gazebo with maps. Walk on the path to the gate and peer through. Walk a bit further and peer between trees. Very hard to see this nest as it is high up.
