All OspreyWatch Nests

Nest visible from I-95. One adult observed March 2012.

Located in field belonging to Rare property beside the Grand River. Pole and nest are easily visible from the lower section of Linear Trail

At end of 50 ft pier next to Bayberry Beach

On the eastern branch of the Corrotoman River.

When you turn onto Paulson Road toward the Gray's Harbor NWR the nest is on a power pole on your left. (On the land side, away from the water.) it is about two thirds of the way from the turn onto Paulson Rd before you turn right to go to the airport/NWR. The nest had one fledgling in 2011.

Osprey Nest, in use for second year in a row

Nest located on an old bridge that spans the Yellowstone River NW of Pompeys Pillar National Historic Sight. Bridge is not in use.

In 2011, the nest had 3 successful chicks. Unfortunately, fireworks killed the mother, who landed in the nest, on July 1/2 2011. The father, with help from other nearby Osprey raised all 3 chicks to maturity. Hoping nest is used in 2012. Google Amherstview Osprey for more details.

Nest constructed on top of four lights. Age of the nest uncertain.

Nesting platform on wooden pole. This platform was placed in 2011 when a nest on a power pole approximately 40 m to the SE was destroyed during a road widening on Ardice.
