The parents have returned for several years, according to residents of this neighborhood. The nest is well kept and neat. A child of Gail built a nest on a platform near a residential pier about a 100 yards away. It 'child's" nest is rather disheveled.

This nest platform was installed last year in an effort to keep an Osprey pair from nesting on the Bimini of my sailboat, Indigo Waters (hence the nest being named Indigo II). The nest was occupied until the birds left during Hurricane Irene. This year a pair arrived on March 2, 2012 and have built a more substantial nest, mated several times and are now sitting on the nest.
