This nest platform was installed last year in an effort to keep an Osprey pair from nesting on the Bimini of my sailboat, Indigo Waters (hence the nest being named Indigo II). The nest was occupied until the birds left during Hurricane Irene. This year a pair arrived on March 2, 2012 and have built a more substantial nest, mated several times and are now sitting on the nest.

There are two osprey nests located on this metal tower. The one on top is bigger and it's been there for 17 continuous years, while the smaller one below was built 3-4 years ago. The neighbors think the hatchlings came back and started nesting there. I'll send the pictures next week.
