Nesting Diaries

2022 nest season: Male osprey hit by car in Jan 2022, 1 chick fell out of nest in April 2022, 2 remaining chicks fledged.

In 2021, this osprey pair nested in an utility pole after nesting in a Norfolk pine across the steet which was taken down. On 4/12/21, the chick was blown out of the nest during a storm, rescued by TIOF monitors and taken to the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife to be placed in a foster nest.
