Big News. Yesterday ~1800 I observed a hatchling in the nest being tended to by the female. A late hatcher. The male showed up (empty handed) and the female squawked a racket and he went off remotivated to catch some fish. At ~1015 this morning I observed the hatchling and one adult in the nest.

One osprey perched in nest the two times I observed yesterday. Likely the same adult that always seems to be there?

~0900 one adult cooling wings in nest. No other activity.

1500 - one adult soaring around nest then landing in the nest and eating. No sign of feeding a hatchling.

Around 1300 today one adult was sitting in the nest. No other sign of activity. I don't see this nest as much, but have rarely (if ever) seen an adult perched on the nest perch extensions. Could there still be an egg or is it too late in the season?

I hardly see one of the pairs here (where most times I see one or both on the other UD nests) Maybe this nest was not successful. I will keep an eye on it.

I've been watching this nest periodically. The Osprey here are more elusive than the other 3 nests on campus. They were sighted a few weeks later than the other 3 nest pairs. They may spend time in the nearby trees. A healthy pair has been sighted for several days now and the nest has been refurbished.
