Both Osprey are in the nest again!

03/26/2020 by Donna
Both parents are in the nest. It looks like they are feeding their young. Today a fisherman was casting right under the nest. One of the Osprey got hooked by his cast while the bird dove for a fish. It was terrible to watch the bird stayed in the water. Eventually the fisherman pulled on the line, put a towel over the osprey's head & pulled him into the boat. After awhile he threw the osprey with the fish back into the water & drove off. The osprey stayed in the water quite a long time. But eventually he flew above our heads on the opposite side of the shore of the nest. I didn't see him go back to the nest.
