Watched this site from 10:30 to 10:45, clear 40% overcast. One Osprey in tower next to nest, both chicks flapping wings, one takes off circles next and lands back in the nest, second keeps flapping wings but does not leave nest.
Watched this site from 9:45 to 10:00, clear 20% overcast. Both Osprey on the tower next to the nest; one chick on edge of nest flapping wings, the other was in the nest. The one on the edge was lifting off the nest about six inches and landing back on the nest.
Watched nest from 8:34 to 8:58 clear 10% overcast. One Osprey in the nest, one on the tower next to nest, was able to see head of one chick, did not see any sign of the second chick.
Watched this site and site # 6430 from 1:14 to 1:42; clear and 5% overcast. There was one Osprey in the nest and one sitting in the large tower next to the nest. I was able to view two chicks in the nest.
Watched this site and site #6430 from 11:55 to 12:25; clear and 15% overcast. One Osprey was in the nest, the other was in tower next to the nest eating a fish. Was able to see the head of one chick, not sure if there are any others.
Watched this site and site #6430 from 1:18 to 1:47. Clear and 70% overcast. One Osprey in the nest, about 15 minutes later the other one landed in the nest but then fly to the tower and stayed there. Can't tell for sure but I think they might mave eggs in the nest because there is always 1 bird in the nest.
Watched this site and the new site # 6430 from 10:58 to 11:30. clear and 20% overcast. I osprey in the nest, one on the tower next to the nest. The one in the nest stayed in the nest, the one on the town, would take off an fly around every now and then and return to the tower.
Observed this site from 10:48 to 11:22. Clear and 50% overcast. There were 2 Osprey in the nest, after about 10 minutes one took off and flew around for a few minutes then landed in the tower next to the nest. while watching this site I saw another osprey flying around farther down the canal and then land in a new nest on top of a telephone pole. I will set up a new nest site and start reporting on that site.
observed this site along with site #6059 from 12:35 to 1:07. It was 100% overcast with good visibility. 1 Osprey in the nest the other sitting higher up on the tower, they fly off, returned to the nest. Then the other fly off down the canal, had not returned before I left.
On 4/22/16 I observed this site from 10:00 to 10:30, it was clear, windy and 90% overcast. The 2 Osprey flew in and out of the nest, once one of them returned with a fish.
On 4/13/16 While watching site #6059 I saw 2 Osprey flying over the canal about 500 yards west. One landed on a pole near the tower, a spotted the nest in the tower, a few minutes later the second one landed in the nest. It was a clear day 0% overcast
