One adult shading 1 chick.

Another successful season for this nest, but never saw fledgings leave the nest. This appears to be a very good mother osprey as she's had successful broods for several years.

Very active nest; looking forward to seeing several chicks again this year.

Single bird seen.

Three chicks are getting bigger. Both parents on nest with young today; very impressive.

06/16/2016 by Jeff-Loz
Definitely observed 3 chicks in nest today being feed by mother. One chick was spreading wings.

06/15/2016 by Jeff-Loz
May have observed 2-3 chick heads above the nest. Shading was observed earlier this week. Female sits at side of nest and male is close-by on fence post.

Feeding action still being observed. Also, saw shading provided by adult.

Believe eggs may have hatched as observing what appears to be feeding of chicks.

Observed mating of pair last week. Female settled into nest on 4/27 and has stayed there since. Have seen occasional transfer of nest duty when mate brings food (fish) for other mate to eat.

1st bird on nest observed 3/17/16, then pair observed 3/26/16. Pair have stayed on nest and are tending to nest by brining new nesting material. I believe this is a new mate for the female because she lost a mate last year after laying eggs. Remarkably, she incubated the eggs alone, fed herself, raised three fledglings who all successfully left the nest last fall.
