fledgling continues to spend all its time on the nest, rarely flying. it tends to lay in the nest alot .i know my data is off and this pair renested.

one low in nest on on nest perch
both osprey on nest today
pair on nest most of today, bringing nest material
adult male on new satellite pole at waters edge today, no juveniles seen
the duo is still at the nest often with both adults tending them.
On the morning of 8-1 as I was monitoring a foster osprey in a nearby nest I realized one of the 2 chicks had flown and was on a nearby pole. I had been watching both chicks getting ready to fledge as I hoped the fostered bird would but alas these 2 flew before the older foster we placed on Cliffs #6559. The foster that is a runt so may take a bit more time than the healthy well cared for chicks.
2 chicks clearly visible today with both adults on the nest as we passed on the boat
female feeding with one chick vis
not yet sure of the status of this pair, until i can get my boat into the cove i will wait on data entry
have not seen any signs of chick feeding with one deep in the nest apparently incubating, this pair may have renested.
both osprey sitting in the marsh at the waters edge today. this pair does not appear to be incubating. not sure what happened but will hope they do have chicks this season.
I was able to spend just a few minutes with my scope trained on this nest today and one osprey was on the marsh edge eating a fish and the other was sitting on the nest. it had just stopped raining so perhaps the osprey was drying off but I did not see incubating in the short window of time I observed.
one incubating late this afternoon with the other on the favored sign post, watching numerous ospreys hanging out around Cliff's Islands at the entrance to Beach Cove
probable incubation, will not be able to confirm until the weather improves
could not see an osprey incubating although I expect it soon if not already. One osprey visible on the corner board of platform today
Both adult osprey on nesting platform today. Viewed with binoculars from Quillen's point. They appear to be nest buidling. Platform lost the t perch over the winter.
update today- one mature bald eagle perched in this nest as I approached by boat. no osprey seen
end of season: last adult sighting was 8-17-17 with both adults at nest
I drive the boat by this nest and both youngsters are always coming and going and using the scraggly old poles along the marsh to hunt and watch fish.
2 active chicks seen on 6-16
I have not gotten close enough to count chicks but I regularly see both adults on the nest and feeding behavior
both adults on nest today, one feeding chicks
Unless in my boat I view this nest from a good distance so today, via car, I used my binos and pretty sure I saw chick feeding behavior.
platform is on the mainland marsh area east of entrance to Beach Cove Channel and the pair arrived sometime before 4-8-17 but I did not start notes until this date.
