The nest sits atop a telephone pole on a platform alongside an entrance for the Upper Tampa Bay Trail and right next to busy Sheldon Road. Busses come and go beneath the majestic perch from the station heading south toward Waters Road. The couple have been seen together on the nest, or on nearby on light poles across the street or flying over Rocky Creak which runs below the overpass.
Today one of the pair was seen at Tampa Shores development after season of rainy and windy days. Later seen sitting atop a light pole in the early morning of the next day.
Today one of the pair arrived at the nest wth a fish in its talons and flew over Sheldon road displaying the catch to the occupant in the nest, quite proudly it seemed!
The pair were seen flying around the nest, swooping and gliding, in front of a nestling who was watching intently. It was the first sighting of the offspring and so exciting to see!
