No nest present, likely destroyed in Hurricane Irma. However, there is a new(?) nest directly adjacent on a cable box.

06/29/2017 by wendy
The 2 juveniles appear to be close to fledging..if they haven't yet.

05/07/2017 by MaryK
The female was in the nest and the male was on the telephone pole. The female was working on something inside the nest; may have been new chicks.

04/26/2017 by MaryK
The male was eating on the nearby light post, the female was in the nest. Another was circling in the area, might belong to a nearby nest. Jerry, a local resident, says that the ospreys tear down the nest and rebuild it each year.

04/19/2017 by MaryK
Male was in nest and the female flew off shortly after I arrived. She returned a while later and both were occupied with something inside the nest. Right before I left, the male flew off.

04/13/2017 by MaryK
One was incubating in the nest, but no activity or mate.

04/06/2017 by MaryK
Female was in nest, male was eating fish on a telephone pole. 2 other ospreys were flying in the area and after a while the male left the pole but left the fish unattended.

03/22/2017 by MaryK
The female was lying low in the nest and the male frequently left the nest. May have had something to do with the construction happening on the roadside?

03/15/2017 by MaryK
One osprey was working on something inside the nest while the other was lying low. The tree is starting to bear fruit.

03/09/2017 by MaryK
Female was eating on a nearby telephone pole, male was working on something in the nest.

03/02/2017 by MaryK
Male and female both in nest, looking alert. Didn't leave nest while I was there.

02/20/2017 by MaryK
Both male and female in nest, preoccupied with something inside. The male flew off to gather more materials for the nest, did so multiple times.

02/15/2017 by MaryK
Female was in nest, male arrived shortly carrying branches and twigs to add to nest. Male worked on building up nest.

02/08/2017 by MaryK
Nest has been rebuilt, osprey of unknown gender in the nest. No sign of young, could hear another osprey in the area. There was also another nest (potentially osprey) on a telephone pole to the right.

Nest looks to have been blown down. No ospreys in the area.

12/13/2016 by RachelLEckerd
Osprey was again sighted, due to size and visuals it is most likely a female, as she appears quite large and some spotting can be made out. It is unclear whether she has claimed this nest for good due to unclear observation periods.

12/06/2016 by RachelLEckerd
Osprey from last week was not sighted during latest observation time, although there appeared to be some fish remains nearby due to a noticeable smell near the nest. Nest remains in decent shape and size.

11/29/2016 by RachelLEckerd
One osprey (gender unknown) was seen perched on the rim of the nest, the first sign of activity since 05/16. Unclear as to whether osprey is beginning nesting, as no mate was seen or heard. The pine the nest is located is by far the tallest structure in the area, and the area itself is gated off, so it may not been a bad place for the osprey to settle.

11/15/2016 by RachelLEckerd
Nest does not appear to have lost any material since last observation, however the remains to be any osprey in the area.

11/01/2016 by RachelLEckerd
Nest is clearly shrinking, possibly due to recent storms. No ospreys have been observed near the nest.

10/18/2016 by RachelLEckerd
Again, no osprey sighting in area despite presence of nest. Nest may be breaking down, as it appears to have lost some filling.

09/25/2016 by RachelLEckerd
Nest is present but seems smaller in size, possibly due to recent storm activity. No ospreys seen in area.

01/18/2016 by HugoR
