7/18: may not be fledge date but that's the first time I saw only 2 on the nest. 7/28: all were seen wheeling around overhead, gleefully calling; a full aerial show! 8/26: juvenile enjoyed a salty bath near Myrtle Edwards Park.

Three young and both parents seen in a crowded nest 7/13/15.

Guess this is the end of the season: adult brought a fish to an empty nest, and left after ringing the dinner bell for a while These pics are from the Magnolia Bridge and behind Staples.

Two Ospreys were on the Terminal 91 nest today -- sitting in the rain -- first time seeing both this year.

Saw one Osprey on the nesting platform this evening -- the female, I believe. It's the first Osprey sighting this year at that location. I've been checking the location for Ospreys nearly every day for the past couple of weeks.

I believe both youngsters successfully fledged in 2012. There were two in the nest and I watched one in its early fledging days, perching below the nesting platform on light stands. The other youngster appeared healthy, was flapping but I didn't see that particular Osprey leave the nest. Once both were out of the nest and flying, I had trouble keeping track of which was which, owing to the distance between the platform and viewing areas.

On 7/30/12, there were two visible young in the nest. Both parents were in the area, one returning with a fish for the group. On 7/31/12, one of the fledglings appeared to have fledged -- was perched on a lamp post below the nest area, then later returned to the nest.

On 7/25/12 -- Lots of flapping by the larger of two babies in the nest. This young Osprey was hopping from one end of the nest to the other, looking anxious to fledge.

On 7/10/12, one larger nesting was visible, sitting next to a parent in the nest. I'm not sure how old the baby, and I'm not certain if there were any other nestlings.

Meant to add that the nestling visible (from a distance) on 7/10 appeared to be fuzzy in plumage, and was flapping with small wings.

The nest box is going to need some updating. Winter winds and lookie-loos have left it in rough shape. I expect to see the first one return this week. We are recording warmer temps.

This box was moved 2 years ago approx a 1,000 feet to the east. It was directly over a busy terminal road. The pair came back the next year and had 3 chicks.
