Nesting Diaries

Fledglings were back today. Observed 3 fledglings + 1 adult in and around nest. All seemed to be hunting (learning?) and feeding at nest. Another large adult (female?) watching cautiously from nearby tree.

Nest has been vacant for my last 3 visits (7/19, 7/21 and 7/24). Prior to that on 7/16/19, I observed 3 fledglings in and around nest, plus 1 adult.

One chick was visible. I believe there are two. Easily my largest nest. Quiet time. One adult nearby on stand.

Beautiful day. Boat traffic did not alarm either Osprey. Tending to nest today. Both present.

Was nice to see all nest on Monomoscoy Island occupied today. These two seemed content. Most all were busy grooming. Approx 12pm 05/12/14.

The nest was unoccupied today. There are so many osprey overhead on the other side of the island any could be the ones for this nest. Approx 4:45pm

Only noticed one osprey near the nest. But the inlet has so many nest one could be away. Lots of osprey in the skies on the other side of the land. Photos taken between 11:30am and 12pm
