I have been following this nest situated on a floodlight in the parking lot of Raymond James Football stadium for the past 3 seasons ,this being the fourth one. They raised one offspring the first year, one again the second year and 2 last year.In September 2013 the tampa Bay Buccaneers decided to paint the floodlights and removed the nest so i i was very concerned what would happen when they returned in January as they always do .Isaw them around and for 2-3 weeks nothing happened and then to my joy they rebuilt the nest in rapid fashion on the very same flood light and they could have chosen at least 10 others-Amazing nature. Now there are eggs on the nest and i look forward to see how many. They are such good parents !!I noticed on April 28th 3 little ones for the first time .I have been watching them daily sometimes a few times a day as work is nearby .There are now only 2 babies as one was lost during the recent storm.I have witnessed the male bring a fish to the nest daily for past 3 days and the babies are really thriving and growing by the day, more photos added from last 3 days but will be away for 2 weeks so they will be much bigger on my return from the african bush.On return from Africa still 2 large juveniles in nest and starting to open wings but have not left nest or fledged as of 05/29/2014.First flight observed on June 16 th and both chicks have been on and off nest to surrounding areas but not going to far away but still present as of 06/21.The 2 juveniles have continued to fly around for the past 6 weeks but keep returning to the nest and as of 08/06/2014 both are still here and remain on the nest and have not left the nest,Both parents were observed last week and both juveniles on the nest 4 days ago were looking up at mom flying above the nest but have not seen the parents for 4 days so perhaps they have finally gone up north which is late for them as compared to the last 4 years that i have been observing them .I wonder whether the juveniles will remain as their eyes are now yellow but the wings are still speckled black and white. The first juvenile left nest and not observed again on August 8 th and second chick last observed August 23rd,both stayed a long time after they first flew and spent 3-4 weeks on and around nest for 3 weeks after parents left.Second juvenile was not seen in September and presumed left nest .both looked big and very healthy before finally leaving the nest
