male and female on the nest together.

This is the day that I saw two of them on the nest. Male bringing a fish to the female on the nest. So nesting is starting on this nest.

This is very bizarre. November is the usual time for the pair to get together at the nest. This past November only 1 showed up and waited around, but the other never showed up and the nest remained unused....until today when I saw two of them on the nest and bringing in nesting material. Has anyone ever seen osprey nesting at this time of the year in South Florida? I did find out that this behavior occasionally occurs when there was no nesting, the one osprey that was around finds a possible mate and they start bonding then return in November to start nesting.
