Both adults are present on the edge of the nest. Though there are known chicks no chicks were seen. Both of the birds seem exceptionally still.

04/29/2014 by AKP
One adult female osprey is present in the center of the nest. Slightly visible is a small chick in the middle of the nest.

04/24/2014 by AKP
No osprey occupying nest during observation period.

04/17/2014 by AKP
Female and male osprey sit on their nest, preening themselves. There appears to be movement in the middle but it is hard to tell whether it is a chick or just the wind moving materials.

04/10/2014 by AKP
No osprey visible from either viewing spot.

04/04/2014 by AKP
No osprey observed during the observation period.

03/18/2014 by AKP
Female osprey present in the center of the nest. She appears to be incubating, with her back low and flat. She popped her head up a handful of times.

03/13/2014 by AKP
Both male and female osprey present in nest. The male flew away, circled, and landed at nearby abandoned platform nest 1209. The female hung around for about ten minutes, then flew off towards the water. She returned briefly and rearranged her nest.

03/06/2014 by AKP
As is most often the case, no osprey were present at this nest. It is ironic that this nest appears to be the most built up nest on the football field but it is not occupied. 190, on the light pole across the field, is only half as built up as 1208 and yet currently holds nestlings.

02/28/2014 by AKP
An osprey was seen circling the nest before landing. Upon landing the osprey dropped on what appeared to be spanish moss and then took flight again. No osprey returned within the next twenty minutes.

02/20/2014 by AKP
There are no osprey present within the nest. There is an osprey (believed to be male) sitting beneath the nest platform on the light pole. This osprey was observed preening itself.

02/15/2014 by AKP
There is a nest built atop the platform on the lightpole, but there are no osprey present.

02/07/2014 by AKP
This nest is still very minimal. Only one osprey seen in the center of the nest laying low, presumably female. There was a male standing at the adjacent light pole (nest #1209), perhaps watching over this nest.

01/21/2014 by arose
There wasn't much activity at this nest today. The pair was still there, and the nest looked like it was still being built up. Hopefully the female and male will mate soon.

01/15/2014 by arose
It seems as though another osprey has joined the the previous one from last week. The nest looked a bit bigger than before. Hopefully this pair will have hatchlings.

01/09/2014 by arose
Male or female was perched on the side of the nested platform. Nest looked small, the Osprey might have been re-building its nest from a recent storm. Spanish Moss could be seen blowing in the wind from the bottom of the nest.
