Great-horned Owl using nest. Owl chicks present.

This pair is on the James River for their second year. They built a second nest on a light pole, 200 yards to the east, due to a Canada Goose being on the nest from last year. Unfortunately, this pair had a failed breeding season this year. One bird sat on the nest, but no chick ever hatched. They did not go into any feeding movements at all.

These osprey are not back yet, but there is a canada goose on the nest. Been there ALL day. Will be interested to see what happens.
