A male was sitting on a light pole near the nest, but only returned to the nest minutes later when the female did. Both stayed for the rest of the watch.
One osprey was lying in the nest, low enough that I couldn't tell its gender. Two other ospreys were in the area, might have been mate or belonging to nearby nests.
Both male and female were in nest, little activity or movement from them for entire watch. There were some green parrots under the nest but they migrated to #4555 when the osprey in that nest flew away.
Nest remains solid and well built, and may have even been slightly added to. Female was seen perched inside the nest, while male was spotted in a nearby tree. At one point they started calling to each other, before the female suddenly flew off.
Nest seems to have grown slightly in size, and looks more solid than before. Female can be seen perched at edge of the nest, while male is settled inside, with only the tip of his head poking out.
After the occupying pair were spotted venturing towards an adjacent next earlier, they seemed to have definitely settled on occupying this particular nest. It is unclear if the nest is active or the pair are preparing for egg laying, but both were seen either by the nest or nearby. The male flew off towards the end of the observation period, but the female remained in sight the entire time.
This nest have definitely been chosen by the pair of osprey in the immediate area, as neither bird has been observed approaching either of the other two nests nearby. Nest appears to have been added to, a piece of blue ribbon can be seen hanging off the nest. Both female and male were observed perching very closely to the nest.
Pair seems to have settled on this particular nest, female was seen perched by the edge of the nest, while the male could be heard calling and was spotted flying around the area.
Nest has not been built upon since date of last observation, and again only one pair of ospreys has been seen in the area despite multiple nests. It appears the pair may have chosen this nest currently, as the female was spotted perched on the utility pole it is located on. Male was seen flying overhead, and landed in a nearby tree.
Very small nest built upon lamp post, pair of osprey sighted perched nearby, unclear as to whether they are inhabiting 1185 or the neighboring nests of 4555 or 4552, both of which are similar in size.
Nest is present. Nest is large and actively maintained. Both male and female osprey present in nest. Female was spotted first in the nest, and then male flew up. Did not see or hear any of the previous fledglings, but seemed as though female osprey was in nest looking down at them and male came in with food and was feeding.
Nest is large and actively maintained. Both adult male and female ospreys in the nest at the same time. First sign of fledglings! 1 fledgling present. Spotted the female adult osprey feeding one fledgling by mouth.
Today was the first time I found this nest. There was a female osprey in the nest sitting down. There was a male osprey on a light pole about 20 meters away. No sign of hatchlings.
Unfortunately this nest didn't see any new activity either. The nest looked like it was in pretty bad shape. Didn't look like it was managed for the past several months. I think this nest is definitely abandoned.
Unfortunately, there were two nests in the area and I had the nest that failed. I didn't see anymore than two osprey in the area. Didn't seem like there was any nestling/fledgling activity in the nest for me to think otherwise that the nest was abandoned.
